Est. in 1999 KO Boxing & Fitness has been The Little Apple's longest running fitness center. KO was originally founded and managed by Lorissa Belcher. In 2020 She left the KO Legacy in the hands of former KO Boxer and Golden Glove champion Pedro Marquez.
Boxing is a great way for everyone to get in shape, learn a form of self-defense, and take care of their mental health. We offer general fitness kids and adults. We also have a competitive boxing team. There is no workout like a boxing workout! Come and see for yourself!
I was introduced to the sport of boxing when I was 14 years old by my uncle, a former professional boxer and champion in Mexico. Boxing was a hobby of mine in high school and community college. I loved the feeling of shadow boxing, hitting a bag, and dripping sweat from it afterwards. Also, I needed the exercise. I was obese for the vast majority of my life. Boxing made exercise enjoyable for me. The heaviest I've ever weighed was around 240lbs. The lightest I've ever been was 160lbs.
In the Spring of 2018 I graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology. During my time as a student I trained at KO & occasionally assisted founder of KO, Coach Lorissa with classes. In the spring of 2018 we went 4-0 as coach/fighter combo and won the State & Regional Golden Glove championships for the Novice division at 165lbs. In 2020 Coach L asked me to carry the KO legacy and all the hard work she put in to the gym forward. I was extremely honored. I returned to The Little Apple as the new head coach/owner to help people become better versions of themselves, train champions, and take KO to new levels!
